I can’t do the race. Can I get a refund?

  • If you absolutely must cancel your registration, please contact us to submit a cancellation request. You will be refunded 50% of your entry fee. The remaining 50% will be donated to the Women’s Resource Center. The last day to cancel and request a refund is September 30th.

Do I get a finisher’s medal?

  • You will not receive a medal, but instead you will earn a finisher’s prize you can use! Check the Awards page for details.

Are strollers/dogs allowed?

  • Strollers and dogs are NOT permitted on either course at this time.

Can I transfer my entry to someone else?

  • You can transfer your entry to someone else by signing into RunSignup and following these instructions.  Transfers must be done by September 30th.

What time do the races start?

  • The Horse Gulch Hustle trail run begins at 8:30 am, and the 5K begins at 8:45 am.  The Raider Ridge Rumble MTB ride of the Durango Double begins as soon as athletes complete the trail run (1st athletes completing trail run at approximately 10:00am).  Relay participants must tag their bike teammate for them to begin the MTB ride.  Runners/riders are advised to arrive early and park in the parking garage at Animas Surgical Hospital (575 Rivergate Lane, Durango, CO 81301), or across the Animas River at Cundiff Park.

Can I register on race day?

  • Online registration for Horse Gulch Hustle trail run and Durango Double closes on Thursday, October 5th on RunSignup.com. Final registration for Horse Gulch Hustle trail run and Durango Double is allowed in-person at packet pickup on Friday, October 6th. Race day registration is allowed for Gena Rych 5k only.

How long do I have to finish the race?

  • Horse Gulch Hustle trail run course will remain open until 1:00 pm. This means runners have 4 1/2 hours to complete the course. Anyone running a pace of 20 minutes per mile (or faster) will finish in time.

    If you do not think you will finish before the course closes, consider participating in the Gena Rych 5K instead.

    After 1:00 pm, runners still on the course are no longer considered part of the Durango Double and are responsible for themselves. Course support is not guaranteed after 1:00 pm.

  • Durango Double MTB course will remain open until 3:30 pm. This means solo participants have 8 hours to finish both courses.

After 3:30 pm, riders still on course will be responsible for themselves. Course support at Horse Gulch Aid station is not guaranteed after 3:30 pm.
